Excellent food! Some of the best fried chicken you will ever have. Satisfying shakes. Cool, relaxed vibe. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in Madison again.

We ordered inside but sat outside, food total was a little over $50,got some fried chicken, & my husband got a burger. Im sorry this is a hard no,I received my chicken, it was almost burnt, taste like it as well. The thigh taste i couldn't do,I received my fresh chicken, still no good. It was just ridiculous. My husband's burger had sauce,he asked for it to not be put on the burger,had no flavor. Then I went in for a refill,the person gives me water,when I clearly said ginger-ale. My husband's beer was warm as ever.We felt unfairly treated,never again. Try at your own risk. Only thing nice was the restaurant clean,outside nice quiet.

The service was amazing here. The ladies were very helpful and the food came fast. The inside vibe was so cool and there were board games and even a Photo Booth section. You grab your own water and condiments which I liked, but just know that b4 coming in so ur not stuck waiting for water lol. The food was great and all my teammates seemed to have great food. I had the triple smash burger which I loved. The chicken portions aren’t huge be aware but looks very great.

Hernán was the nicest, made our experience at Butterbird a 10/10. The food was delicious and the establishment so cute and cozy. Wish we lived closer so we could come more often! Will have to plan a trip to Madison again!

Butterbird is fabulous addition to Regent Street. This would be THEE place to watch a Packers or Badgers game. The counter is throwing out an accurate 1940s/1950s vibe. I've never seen anything quite like it before. I like that you order and pay at the counter so you can leave whenever you want without having to flag down a server to pay your bill. The outdoor patio is very open and airy. The service was fantastic and obviously the chicken is great. I had the Butterbird Classic. It was delicious. My only suggestion is maybe a different sauce - it comes with a "Dilly Ranch" sauce. It was good but I think there are some other sauces that would compliment the chicken better. The chicken is incredible. Butterbird is totally worth checking out!
