Wow! Great place! They make (my personal preference) perfect pancakes! A little chewy, old school classic diner style! And a HUGE portion! The omlet was also huge and well made. A lot of small, old tables close together and a line out the door the whole time we were there. But it moves fast and is worth it.

Great place to get greasy breakfast food to cure a hangover fast. The Scrambler did not disappoint and of course loved the cheese curds. Will definitely go back to try the shakes but I was stuffed.

This historic Madison breakfast joint is a “must visit”! I loved it. Charming service. A banger of a menu and HUGE portions. Get a scramble with whatever options the waitress recommends. Order some coffee cake. And save room for a blueberry milkshake. Go on a weekday to avoid crowds.

First time checking out this total gem. Tried the scrambler, which was massive and honestly so cheap. The retro vibe is amazing. Friendly staff and tasty food. One of the staff even walked an adorable older gentleman who sat at the counter to his car to ensure he crossed safely. Simple things such as this are a good indication of the type of people who work here. If you haven't been here before its a must stop when in madison wisconsin.

One of those iconic places you have to try to stop at while in Madison. The restaurant opened in the late 1940s and the original menu and price list is still on the wall. They are known for their huge portion sizes so come hungry. One pancake was enough for my wife. My son could only finish half a skillet. The coffee cake looks like it was made in a lasagna pan! Try the French toast. Made from battered cinnamon rolls. delicious! Be prepared to wait in line. Service is pretty quick so patience will pay off.
