Don’t order from this location over door dash. Second time now ordering from here. Both times we did not get our toast, extra large cups or sauce, and today there was a bug in our lemonade. When asking the dasher about the sauce, they explained they asked the cashier and were yelled at about the order being correct. Door dash then only refunded me for half of what those items costed me.

I originally was planning to give this location A 5 star rating but i had an issue on 5/17/26 Sunday morning. Starting off about 3 months ago I tried canes for the first time because a friend of mine told me their menu was simple:chicken fingers,Texas toast,lemonade,coleslaw and especially the Canes Sauce.I really enjoy canes a lot now.The food is prepared very great I especially enjoy the sandwich,Texas toast and a sprite drink on the side.I visited this location at least four times before 5/17/26. However recently I visited on 5/17/26 Sunday morning/afternoon because I was watching Weather radar and News 3 Now (local tv station in Madison Wi)A thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado/Funnel cloud was detected near Verona Wi coming towards downtown Madison.I am someone who really enjoys watching the weather but I never thought we were going to have a tornado warning on a Sunday morning/afternoon especially that Madison Wi barley gets a tornado warning,it mostly happens around Madison Wi.At the time I already had planned stopping here after my morning walk in downtown. When I got here at around 11am I thought this would be like any other visit to this location:order from the kiosk,wait 3-5 minutes for my order,then sit down and enjoy my meal.however the problems began,Kiosk:Out Of Receipt paper,waited 10 minutes for my order even though there was only one other person in front of me,sprite just came out with water,had to tell an employee. After it was fixed at 11:16am I and others who have a phone received a tornado warning.The workers were doing work as usual,customers eating as usual.I already saw on radar if there was a tornado/funnel cloud,it was not coming towards the location where this canes restaurant is located instead going towards the east side of Madison.I peacefully enjoyed my meal until an employee came up to me at about 11:37am and told me and others eating they were going to close the dining room and asked all of us to leave or join the employe

This place is a rip off and that’s why people don’t go out to eat anymore. $17 for a cane box with 6 chicken tenders that look like chicken nuggets and soggy fries , that’s ridiculous my fingers are bigger than this chicken tenders. I’ll rather go to kwik trip from now on.

When we come to Madison we make sure to come here. The service is quick and the food is great, Canes sauce is delicious. We came around 1pm and it was pretty quiet but we have come before at the same time and it was packed. I think the only complaint to be had is they only have 2 bathrooms so there is always a wait for the bathroom. Thank you for having us!
