Small space, BIG personality. 🍕✨ This place proves you don’t need a huge dining room to make a huge impression. The cozy, intimate seating makes it feel like you’ve stumbled upon one of the neighborhood’s best-kept secrets. From the moment we walked in until we reluctantly walked out, the service was spot on. Our waiter had impeccable timing—never hovering, never disappearing. Just the perfect rhythm for drinks, appetizers, and the main event. Now… can we talk about the food?! 🤤 The Monkey Sticks deserve their own fan club. Imagine ooey, gooey cheese with gloriously caramelized edges and a crispy bottom that somehow gives all that cheesy goodness structure. It’s the kind of appetizer that makes you question whether you even need pizza… until the pizza arrives. We kept it classic with a Detroit-style pepperoni pizza finished with a drizzle of hot honey, and WOW. The crust had that crave-worthy crispy, crunchy bottom, the inside was light and fluffy, and those beautifully caramelized edges? Absolute perfection. Every bite had the ideal balance of crunch, chew, cheese, and sweet heat. Final verdict: Come hungry, order the Monkey Sticks, and don’t skip the Detroit-style pizza. Your taste buds will be sending thank-you notes. 🍕🔥

Wow this place is excellent. It's great to see an inventive and creative pizza place in Madison. This place was really wonderful. It's a very small space so arrive early. I ordered the Heatonism and it's quite spicy and delicious. I also ordered the Monkey Sauce whcih is fantastic and unique. It's a sweet and spicy sauce I've never tasted before. The Mac and Cheese balls were to die for. Id go back just to order those again. This place is a gem! I'll also be back to bring some vegan folks as well because they have extensive vegan options too.

Molten Monkey Pizza was hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Every single bite was unreal the flavor combinations, the perfectly cooked crust, the sauces… OMG. Truly mouth-watering. You can tell so much thought and care goes into every detail. Start with monkey stik, and whatever pizza sounds good just do it because you will come back! On top of that, the aesthetic is on point and the hospitality takes it to another level. The owner, Otto, is incredibly welcoming and passionate, which makes the experience even better. You don’t just feel like a customer you feel taken care of. If you’re in Madison and you love pizza, this place is a must. Do yourself a favor and go. I’m already thinking about my next visit.

Wow! This pizza is the best I’ve had in some time and I eat A LOT of pizza. I mistakenly ordered the pizzas for the wrong day and when I checked to see if it was ready for pickup noted my error. One quick call and the wonderful Otto straightened it out and the pizza was ready in 30. The flavor! The texture! I loved that bit of resistance when my teeth hit the cheese baked into the sides of the crust and broke through to the light and tangy dough. The pizzas held the generous portions of topping well and were baked to perfection. We sliced them at home (good advice). I highly recommend Molten Monkey. The pizza is amazing, the price just right, and the service tops! Whether you take out or dine in, you can’t go wrong. Will be ordering again soon.

We ordered pickup for New Year’s Eve as we all wanted pizza. Having had the original Detroit style pizza in Detroit (Buddy’s), we have been wanting to try. We ordered Monkey Styx with Monkey Sauce (reminded me of buffalo sauce but a little sweeter) and 3 pizzas-Piggly Figgly, Big Chungus, and Chicken Bacon Ranch. All was delicious and had the perfect Detroit style crust with the crispy cheese edges as you would expect. I probably still preferred the Big Chungus as it’s the classic meat style, but I did enjoy all the types we tried. We’re excited to try some of the other flavors next go around. Definitely will be back! :) Perfect family NYE meal.
