We were in Madison for the weekend and craving some Peruvian food. This was one of the best lomo saltados I’ve ever had outside of Peru. My wife ordered passion fruit pisco sour and shrimp tacu tacu. We were very pleased with the food and the service. Got some alfajores to go, which became my wife’s favorite

I remember Mishqui from when they were in Monona, but I had never tried their downtown location, so I decided to do takeout. I placed the order online, which was very straightforward and easy. What I remembered from the Monona location is that the food was definitely flavorful, the portions were very large, and most importantly, they had extensive gluten free options, even when it comes to soy sauce and other starters, which is great for someone with gluten free preferences. I ordered their stir fry beef tenderloin, Lomo al Jugo, which was packed with lots of fresh vegetables, broccoli, mushrooms, and a great sauce. The beef was very tender and properly prepared. For a takeout portion, this was huge and very filling. When I walked in to pick up my order, I saw their large dessert case, and as I was looking at it, I couldn’t resist and got their gluten free carrot cake. It was extraordinarily good, moist, freshly made, and not too sweet. Definitely a good addition downtown, just as I remembered it from Monona. Will be back again.

Great food. Juices are great. I personally really liked the sweet horchata and the sauce that came with the seafood. The chicharron with no sauce can be a bit dry if you were to just eat the rice. There's also a very cute alpaca in the front door.

Enjoyed a lovely business lunch here. Atmosphere is very calming and fun at the same time. Service was attentive and kind. Food presentation and taste were top notch. My carrot cake dessert was gone before I could take a picture ~ delicious! Highly recommend.

Really good spot for Peruvian food. The chicken was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. My girlfriend loved the crunchy corn that came with the ceviche. It really felt like all the food was made with purpose and love.
