Reviews from Google5.03 weeks agoReally nice, relaxing atmosphere, with helpful & sweet staff. Food was absolutely fantastic -- the croque madame was peeerfect, with excellent bread that tasted fresh and homemade. The greens were simple and refreshing. Coffee was good. Very nice spot to sit and relax for a bit.
5.0a month agoMadison Sourdough doesn't really need another 5-star rating. However, I just want to make a comment on this amazing establishment. This is a special bakery. The bread made here is some the best we have had. The Miche is out of this world, get one if you can. The other sourdough bread options (batards) are great too, especially the one with pepitas/polenta. Their other bakery items and pastries are wonderful. Their croissants are perfectly browned, buttery and flaky. Their elevated food options are worth planning for if you are hungry for breakfast or lunch. If in Madison...put this place on your intinerary!
5.03 months agoSuper solid spot for brunch!! I ordered The Drew (breakfast sandwich) and the hazelnut banana latte and both were sooooo good The bread here is always fresh and super fragrant, like you can def taste the difference right away. The Drew was really good on its own but that chili maple sauce?? absolutely delicious! The hazelnut banana latte was easily one of my top lattes in Madison. It wasn’t “too sweet”and the flavors actually blended really well (wasn’t too banana-y or nutty). My friend tried it too and she doesn’t even like hazelnut syrup at all, but she actually loved it and said she would order it herself next time which says a lot lol 😂 If I had one small suggestion I’d love to see them try pepper jack instead of cheddar in the sandwich just for a little extra kick
4.05 months agoSuper cute location! I got the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich $15 and it was mid… didn’t have as much flavor as I was hoping. Was giving $8 sandwich…. The espresso chocolate cake was the best however there is no flavor of espresso, that was disappointing. Got a latte with caramel and there was maybe half of a pump of caramel (16oz cup) and the flavor was really not there but I will say the quality of espresso was good. Would I go back? Hmm probably only for the chocolate cake. Kinda pricey for the mid food and drink but it’s a cute place for your Instagram story!
5.09 months agoMy kids and grandkids had lunch here today and it is much more than a bread bakery. So much more, and all really good. The outside is pretty nondescript, but inside it is warm and inviting. The bakery case is filled with lots of yummy treats and the menu board has something for every taste, all freshly made. The Egg Salad has a Pesto addition which is really good, and all the other dishes were beyond good. The fruit was super fresh and very tasty. There are two small cozy dining areas. One has a window into the bakery area and the grandkids enjoyed watching the pastry chef work her magic. Parking is in the street or the small adjacent parking lot. While the location is accessible, the dining areas are a bit tight for a wheelchair. However, those at the tables would be happy to make room as needed.
