This place is really hit or miss. Very inconsistent. And for that Im giving up on them. One day it's amazing the next it's terrible. One day crispy yet tender delicious spicy salty flavorful meat to mushy bland, and undercooked the next. Also, they are very conservative with the sauce. Idk how many times ive had this problem. Honestly it goes all the way back to my first time eating here over 10 years ago. The sauce for tacos, gorditas, etc is essential and arguably the most flavorful and desirable aspect of the meal. This is also not a simple oops forgot, this is an intentional disregard for the customer. The food here is at times inedible or tasteless unfortunately and it requires the sauce. Perhaps they "ran out" of the sauce, but I cant let go of the time I offered to purchase more, told me they were out, and then handed some to the woman behind me for free when she asked. I just cant with this place anymore. Honestly, the food I was given tonight is lower quality than la bamba or taco bell.

Run of the mill Mexican food near State St for a decent price. I have dined here twice, and both experiences were quite different. I ordered Beef Chilaquiles the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the taste and portion size. It was a good experience despite the minimal service. The second time, we ordered tacos and nachos. Both dishes were a little bland, but the nachos was especially hard to finish.

Extremely disappointed. I ordered the steak burrito expecting authentic Mexican flavors, but what I got was bland and Americanized. Both the salsa verde and salsa roja were strangely sweet with zero heat. If I wanted Taco Bell quality, I would have gone there for half the price. This place lacks the soul and spice of real Mexican cuisine.

Probably the best/most authentic california-style mexican restaurant in Madison. Great food and portion sizes for a decent price—beats chipotle/Qdoba any day of the week. The burritos are good and as large as your forearm, but I would recommend the enchiladas or steak.

No way,this was ridiculous,I tried to give the food the benefit of the doubt, but couldn't eat it,was told to come back, wasn't open, go back, to act like my money was given back,then they retake my money all over again,then the manager question what I had bc the receipt didn't have itemized what I was charged for,& I was overcharged, so please check your receipt. Food was dry. & overcooked.
