This place lives up to the hype! I wish the garlic bread was structured a little differently - I’d like the confit to be more done so the garlic falls apart, and there was too much oil to garlic. The tavern style pizza was delicious - it was crispy, the cheese was satisfyingly melted and pulled when I lifted a slice, and I liked the variety of ingredients available for toppings. I didn’t try any cocktails but I’d love to come back and do that.

This was my very favorite food experience in Madison. In the basement of a non-descript building is the best pizza in Madison! The crunchy thin crust, the perfectly seasoned sauce, and fresh toppings - perfection! The atmosphere was dark and moody. The service is fantastic! Don't miss out on this unique experience!

Amazing pizza! Like best I ever had amazing. Awesome marinated olives for an app, pizza with Italian sausage, pepperoni, caramelized scallions, green & black olives, & garlic, and tiramisu for dessert. So many good flavors. Oh. Don't forget the Greenbush old fashioned.

This speakeasy in the basement of the old Italian Workers Club was such a fun spot! The wedge salad was great with the mustard seed, dill, blue cheese, and nuts. We also got their tavern style pizza with mushrooms, shallots, and basil, which was delicious. It had a little flop but was overall very good. For dessert, the tiramisu was very creamy and tasty. I prefer a heavily coffee soaked base, and while this one did have a coffee soaked bottom, it could have been soaked more. This was a fun spot, and I would definitely go back!

Sometimes when you go to a place so highly recommended, it can’t disappoint because the expectations are so high. This was not the case, it was better than expected. This is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. And I’ve had them all over the country. The ambiance was amazing. Service was also amazing. Just a unique and wonderful place to visit, and come back, and come back again. 🍕🍷
