Made our pilgrimage… We rarely visit UW Madison and The Terrace without a stop at Daily Scoop. My partner always gets the orange custard chocolate chip. This time I got a double scoop ice cream cone with orange custard, chocolate chip and the occasionally available, Blue Moon. It’s always hard for people to describe what the flavor of Blue Moon is. It’s kind of berry flavored but not blueberry. But it is delicious. I was wearing a tie and the person working the cash register offered me a cup along with my cone “just in case.” It was very warm outside. The clerk knew exactly what he was talking about. I still ended up with BlueMoon ice cream on my purple tie. It’s off to the dry cleaners now.

The Daily Scoop was so good that I had to come back a second day! The ice cream was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, and it’s easy to see why this place is so popular. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the whole experience was fantastic. If you’re in Madison and craving a great scoop of ice cream, don’t miss The Daily Scoop. It was good enough to earn two visits from me, and I’d happily go back again!

The ultimate oreo was delicious. Not too sweet, and it's also non-dairy. $8 for 2 scoops is pretty good and definitely nice for a warm sunny day like today!

Three times I have tried to order a milkshake from the Daily Scoop. Twice I have been rejected. Why would you put an item on your menu that you won’t sell? Maybe list the milkshake as “mil” on the menu instead because you can only order a milkshake 1/3 of the time. Or not at all. Also most of the flavors are vanilla derivatives. You can find cheaper ice cream with more expansive flavors AND ice cream baristas that will serve you the items on the menu from most other ice cream stores in Madison.

I had the chocolate chip and vanilla scoop. It took me a long while to finish it! The scoops are pretty generous and the ice cream has a high quality so it was not melting easily. I loved that it was not too sugary and the flavors were mild and balanced. Totally recommend.
