Clean, bright, and welcoming space with plenty of natural light. The upstairs area is especially quiet, which makes it a nice spot to relax or get a little work done. Food was pretty basic and the coffee was fine—nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Service was quick at the counter, and there’s a drive‑through window if you need it. I biked over, so access was easy, but parking is limited. There’s a parking garage a couple blocks away and some street parking if you’re driving.

Decent coffee place. Lots of drink options, and a decent amount of lunch options. Odd Hawaiian atmosphere but semi expected in wisconsin. There was a very long line and it took a long time to be able to order. They did not call out a name for the order and that may be confusing to some people. I enjoyed my time spent at cargo coffee and would go back again with a group but not alone.

We were so exited to try Cargo, it came highly recommended by many. My daughter is gluten free and has a tree nut allergy. We asked if the muffins had nuts in them. The baristas response was that they don’t have the recipe so they don’t know. This message to us is that they don’t care enough about their customers to know their own product, and that the owner doesn’t care enough about their customers to take that one step to educate their staff on the ingredients of their food. The very best coffee shops do this.

Great service and great location! Good coffee! Cargo coffee has great decor and seating and the second level provides a nice secluded place to read or enjoy your food and coffee. I have to say the line to order was super long and there was an altercation with a homeless person while we were there. Also since the ceiling is concrete the place has bad acoustics and it’s hard to hear with the ambient noise.

Really cool aviation themed coffee spot with plenty of space, seating, outlets, and a huge menu. I was there during a nice music jam session too which was nice. Located in the heart of Madison. Really great berry smoothie! Highly recommend!
