Pretty much lived up to the expectations set by the mass of praise heaped on this place locally. Is it heads and shoulders above your typical Wisconsin dive bar? Probably not. But you'd be hard pressed to find another place that fills that role better than Village Bar does. I had the brickburger and fries for $12, which is a fair deal in today's inflationary environment. Both were all I could ask for for a quick and tasty lunch. No frills - just a tried and true recipe that's never going to let you down. Charming old-school decorations inside, with plenty to catch the eye and make you laugh. Service is casual - don't expect to be waited on.

A local legend, the Village Bar's reputation is well-deserved. It's a small bar with a limited menu but that's the point. The brickburger with raw onions and a side of crispy fries are a perfect pairing and you can wash them down with an ice cold Fantasy Factory IPA (or a half dozen other taps). A true neighborhood bar, the long counter fills up well before the tables. I always look forward to coming here.

I love this place! Simple food in a comfortable old school tavern atmosphere. The hot dogs and burgers and fries are well made to order and served hot on little paper plates. Prices are very modest.

Some of the best burgers you will ever have. Get the brick burger! Unbelievable atmosphere with a view of the golf course that can’t be beat. Quick service from people that care. This is a quintessential Midwest bar, mixed with the best burgers you will have and great views. Check this place out.
