We drive 1.5 hours each way atleast once a month to come here. Absolutely love this place! Total laid back vibe with great drinks and tons of games. Everyone on the staff is fantastic and they have always been so friendly. The outdoor patio is a great place to sit and relax. Great place to unwind and enjoy some games.

Listen, if you give The Kickback in Middleton anything less than 5 stars, I automatically assume you tilted your own brain. As a lifelong arcade lover and certified pinball fanatic, I am telling you right now: do not waste your precious time or gas money anywhere else in the Madison area. This is the ultimate wizard mode.The true main event here is the pinball. The Kickback is a straight-up pinball mecca. They host tournaments constantly, and the lineup is completely elite. Now, anyone with a pulse knows that pinball machines are finicky beasts prone to ball search errors and broken plastics, but the crew here works tirelessly to make sure these playfields are clean, the flippers are snappy, and the machines are fully functional to maximize your high scores. They do have other arcade games, but let's be honest—those are just a side quest. We are here to hunt jackpots on the silver ball. Keeping this whole operation alive is the owner, Jim. The man has a true passion for pinball. He clearly pours his actual heart and soul into this venue to keep the games from draining into the outlanes. The rest of the bartenders are total rockstars, too. They keep the vibes up and prevent any tilt in the atmosphere. The beer selection is completely on point, and the mixed drinks offer a multi-ball experience that is top-tier. Stop reading this, grab your quarters, and just go already. Jim and the crew have built a true masterpiece here.

Had a chance to visit when I was in Madison recently. What a great spot! I was looking for a particular machine and not only did they have the one I was looking for, but also 3 others that I love. Place is clean, machines are impeccable, and they have a great selection of beers! Big round of applause to the owners for bringing this gem to life in Madison!

As newly minted pinball enthusiasts, my husband and I were delighted to discover this gem in our neighborhood. We were even more delighted when we discovered they offer amazing craft beer (I'm talking delicious barrel aged stouts that we had a challenging time finding anywhere in Madison 7 years ago). The selection of pinball is unreal, many are premium or LE. Everything feels open and clean. The music isn't too loud. There is a designated parking lot. Honestly, even if you're not sure if you would like pinball, you should still come and check it out. Also, the staff are fantastic! Knowledgeable and friendly. I can't fathom anyone rating the Kickback less than 5 stars.

One of my favorite places! You dont come for the food and drinks, you go here for the games! Pinball specifically but also Mario Kart and Ski-Ball! These machines all take real quarters, not some card you scan and have no idea what you are spending. Great selection of games and a few nice old school arcades! Make the trip! Its fun and so low-key!
