Reviews from Google1.02 months agoI live nearby and have tried every spot in the food hall. At it's best the food has been acceptable. Many times it's been downright bad, and is terribly overpriced. I was given expired food and used their contact system to let them know (I hadn't realized until after I got home with my lunch) and I was ignored. The sushi was decent the first time then bad the subsequent time. Casey's is usually pretty consistent, but I'd like to have more options than burgers and fries and there are so many better burgers in the city. The churros were maybe the best tasting item, but tiny for the price. It's also a major noise blight on the area. There are regularly kids screaming (not just playing). They started doing live music, which is cool in theory, but it was just too loud for surrounding apartments and they don't care. Pros: Beautiful lake views and it's convenient if you're hanging with a large group of friends.
2.04 months agoVery nice and modern place. Unfortunately I decided I’m not going to eat my tuna roll. I do not trust the look and smell of this tuna. Good tuna should be deep red or bright pink. This tuna is grey and gross. For a Saturday afternoon I would expect some higher quality tuna. This is equivalent to sketchy gas station sushi. I hope this review helps the restaurant turn their quality around as I know this food hall is new and there is time to improve.
3.06 months agoOrdered a smash burger and cheese curds online for takeout at Casey's Tavern. Upon opening the box once I got home, I noticed that the cheese curds were all bursted and stuck in one clump. The burger itself was good. I have ordered from Casey's before and did not have this problem, so it was unfortunate that this somehow passed the quality check this time around.
5.06 months agoStopped by One Social District in downtown Madison and grabbed a drink, but this place is way more than just a bar stop. It’s a full-on food hall with multiple different restaurants and concepts all under one roof, so it’s perfect if you’re with a group and everyone wants something different. It’s a super convenient spot for a casual hang, game days, or a quick stop when you’re exploring the area—and I love places where you can mix drinks, food, and variety without overthinking it. Definitely adding this back to my list for a full food stop next time I’m in Madison. Save this spot if you’re planning a trip to Madison!
5.010 months agoGreat young professional or young family date night option. Italian, seafood, Tavern, and Mexican food options. Señora Machete had solid taqueria food but Palio (Italian) and Real Seafood Company felt more fast casual. I'm excited that there's a place to go for oysters, cocktails, and tacos, but there were some kids items on the menus, so can be family friendly. You can order at each eatery, but they are cashless. I was told that if I wanted to use cash, I could go to the bar and use cash to get a gift card for use at the eateries. Alternatively, there are QR codes on each table that pull up the site for the food court and you can order for pickup from each eatery, which feels like a better option, especially with kids.
