They’re doing BBQ correct here. Perfect, well priced fatty Brisket and two sides. Just tender enough to lift and separate but not so much it shreds itself. Simple bark ingredients, excellent smoke ring. Heavy garlic, skin on mashed potatoes and browned butter flavor Mac and cheese with cavatappi noodles to soak up that cheese sauce.

We used to really enjoy Liberty Station. Very nice patio, nice atmosphere and we loved the Brisket Salad and half slab of ribs. But this was the third time in a row that we have been disappointed and this one was a doozy. I ordered a cup of Tomato Bisque and the Idaho Trout; my husband had the Brisket Chili and Wedge Salad. Aside from being unexpectedly spicy, the chili was fine and so was the salad. Now to my dinner — I think that instead of bisque they opened up a jar of spaghetti sauce and dumped it in a bowl. The flavor was okay I guess, but there was no discernible cream in it and the consistency was not at all like soup. The Idaho trout was a disaster. First of all, the plating was weird and definitely contributed to the failure of the dish. The trout came with garlic smashed potatoes and green beans almondine. The pasty-looking dried out trout filets were flopped on top of the side dishes in a wide bowl. The green beans had been placed on top of the potatoes such that both beans and almonds were embedded in the potatoes. All the flavors were combined as though I had ordered a weird fish stew. And the heat of the potatoes and fish rendered the beans overcooked. There was some kind of sauce at the bottom but I’m not sure what it was, or why it was there. The fish would have benefited from some sort of sauce as it was so dry. I don’t know what the kitchen is thinking with this menu item but it needs to be vastly improved or leave the menu.

This place is good. The bar was busy and the single bartender did his best to get to us all and apologized for any delays. The food was alright. I had the smokehouse prime rib dip. It needed salt. But was good. There selections of WI beers was nice and the local Scotch Ale I had was good. Nice bar setup. Good atmosphere. I’ll probably be back tomorrow night…since it’s a very short walk from the hotel.

Liberty Station is in a great location near several hotels and the arena. We booked a reservation through Open Table. We arrived early and were seated right away. It was about 4:30 and it was already busy. Our waitress Avery was excellent and knew the menu well. The atmosphere is clean and offers inside and outside seating. Also bar seating. The noise level in the dining area was a bit loud. Our order was taken promptly and the food came as ordered. We ordered the Liberty Burger with Mac and Cheese as well as the smoked prime rib with mashed potatoes and coleslaw on the side. The food was underwhelming. The prime rib was medium rare as requested but arrived cold and had little seasoning. The au ju was cold and bland. Mashed potatoes and coleslaw were good. The burger and mac and cheese were cold and the flavor was disappointing. Having been to the Liberty Station in the past and having had a great experience we were surprised by the food quality. The highlight was definitely the service.

Very loud. Bar service. Happy Hour only allowed at the bar. Group of 12 seating with reservations on a Saturday night. I had Iceberg Salad, very good. The Brisket Chili was spicy and delicious. Husband had the Prime Rib, he enjoyed it. Mixed Drinks are weak so take advantage of the happy hour prices. Parking is shared business. It appeared to have awesome outdoor seating for Summer dining with a great evening view. I would go again.
