So so delicious! I love the atmosphere and fun house vibe. I bring my mom here every time she visits from NJ for the best view of madison and good comfort food! Must see spot in a cute neighborhood. It is self service though so be aware if u have any limitations in that sense

I was staying around the corner at Marquette Hotel and was delighted to be able to walk over and wait briefly in line before they opened at 8 am for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Loved the Texas Toast French toast and bacon and latte that I ordered! Quaint decor, casual atmosphere, self service - it all melds for a wonderful breakfast vibe. Definitely be there in line before they open on a Saturday, or be prepared to wait in line and possibly not get a seat!

Lazy Jane’s is a cute and cozy place to go get breakfast. When you walk in, you’ll see a various collection of scones, morning buns, croissants and muffins to choose from. You order at the counter, and pay right away. There’s plenty of seating both downstairs and upstairs. I would say it’s best to come here to eat during the week. On weekends it’s quite busy and the line is out the door! The scones are delicious. So is the food! They also have specials written to the right of the cash register. Parking: they have a small parking lot, otherwise street parking is available. I had the breakfast tacos with hash browns, which were delicious!

It was my first time visiting this restaurant despite living in the area for a while and I’m so disappointed I hadn’t discovered it sooner. The seitan hash was salty and flavorful and the texture was perfect. I would recommend the dish to anyone.

Late August 2025: tasty, good service, but our breakfast was like $50 for two adults and one kid. We got an order of scrambled eggs with toast and bacon, 3 scones at about $5 each, and coffee -- about $37 including tip; then an additional side of toast and bacon totaling $8. Nice place, but next time we might cook at home to save money. The scones, however, are delicious. Love this place but wish it were more affordable. I understand food is expensive right now.
