I came here for all-you-can-eat hot pot by myself today, but since I was dining alone, I wasn’t allowed to order a half-and-half broth. So I went with the server’s recommendation, the bone broth. It was my first time here, and the staff member who helped me was very kind and attentive, which I really appreciated. However, the base broth lacked depth and umami, which was disappointing. The buffet-style vegetables, seafood, and fish cakes didn’t seem very fresh either. And most importantly, the dipping sauces — which are essential for hot pot — didn’t suit my taste, as I couldn’t find one I liked. Since it wasn’t very enjoyable, I ended up ordering sides like fries, fried chicken, and rice, and mostly ate those instead.

Unfortunately on our 4th time visiting here, we had trouble with one of the regular workers. We come here sometimes and the service is okay. This past time, we came at 8:15 into the parking lot when they close 9:30. We were waiting in the car for something, and I could see inside one worker was acting a little strange looking at our car and frantic. Eventually we went in at 8:30, a full hour before close. The cashier/waiter said "only 1 hour is that ok?" We said yes, ready to leave by 9:30 (even though it is custom in many places to allow guests to stay 15-25 minutes past close often). During our eating, I was a little bit distracted, but when we asked for more meat towards the end of our eating and close, the worker looked at the clock and acted a little bothered. He NEVER asked us for last call or communicated anything. He also did not come to our table to offer meat often. I do feel he felt he wanted to get out of the place by 9:30 at customer expense. Within the last 15 minutes before close, I wanted to get some fruit to finish up, but saw they already were putting stuff away. The worst part was at the end when we went up to pay promptly by 9:30. The worker told us "next time come earlier." I was shocked and confused, this was not cheap, $30 per person, and to talk like that to a customer is horrible. The worker was being rushed at customer expense, and not following restaurant hours. This makes us hesitant to come back. We did not leave a tip. When we stepped to walk out, the worker asked, "no tip?" and when we did not accept this rude questioning, he laughed a little bit saying "ok" in a seemingly annoyed manner. This is unacceptable to treat customers in this way. If workers would like customers not to come in at 8:30, they should work earlier shifts/ask the owner for earlier closing and implement LAST CALL.

If you are cold and looking for a hot pot and a awesome staff to be honest this is one of the best hotpots, the broth is the best we tried the best of both worlds

This is my go to place whenever I visit Madison. It has changed since I visited last time. They changed the AYCE system and the display to the buffet style. I love this change much better! Fresh veggies and for the lunch, you will get two boxes of meat per person. I strongly recommend this place if you are a hot pot lover.

Great place to get some hotpot. A bit pricy, but it's worth it as a little treat. Tons of foods to choose from and it's very chilly and relaxed. Great place for kids too, because they get to choose what they eat. If your kids are always choosing chicken nuggets or Mac and cheese at restaurants, then take them to this one and let them pick whatever they want. Fun and wholesome all around. Do not put your hands in the boiling hotpot water.
