An absolute must-stop place to go if you're into the Devil's lettuce AND cupcakes. I love the selection of *baked* treats that will bake you right back. Alex helped me pick out a treat for a neighbor. Get the nachos!

I found The High Crowd Cafe completely by accident after missing a meeting nearby and deciding to kill some time before driving home. I almost didn’t go in because from outside it looked pretty busy, but the second I walked through the door, the smell of fresh coffee and baked food honestly made me forget I was annoyed about my day. The place had a really lived-in kind of atmosphere. Not fancy or overly polished — just comfortable. There were college students sitting with laptops, two older guys arguing about cricket near the back, and someone quietly sketching in a notebook by the window. It felt more like a neighborhood hangout than one of those cafés built only for Instagram pictures. I ordered a hazelnut cold coffee and a grilled chicken sandwich mostly because the cashier said it was their most popular combo. The drink came out colder and stronger than I expected, which I actually appreciated because a lot of cafés make iced coffee taste watered down. The sandwich was messy in the best way possible — warm, crispy bread with way too much sauce dripping everywhere while I was trying to eat and answer emails at the same time. What stood out most was the staff. At one point my laptop battery died, and before I could even ask, one of the employees noticed me looking around and pointed out an outlet behind the seating area. Small thing, but it felt genuine instead of scripted customer service. The only downside was that once evening started, the café got louder and finding a table became difficult. Still, I ended up staying almost three hours without realizing it. The High Crowd Cafe has that rare kind of atmosphere where people actually seem comfortable staying awhile instead of rushing out after finishing their drinks.

A nice fun experience! The desserts were all fantastic! I don't even like cheesecake but loved the mini peanut butter cheesecake. Highly recommend the teas! You can also pick from the lemonade drinks and sub tea. Delicious

Stopped in for a lemonade and loved it! The woman working was sooo nice and knowledgeable. Great experience all around, and the lemonade was delicious! We'll definitely be back when in Madison!

Everything was absolutely incredible. The caramel latte was delicious and sweet. I did not taste the yk what at all. It hits me mellow and really boost my mood. The worker Payton is very sweet and helpful. Shawty made a perfect caramel latte for me to sip while i do homework on their beautiful and cozy couch. Atmosphere was absolutely incredible w scooby doo playing on the tv as well. Came here with my friend yesterday and will bring more for more memories !
