Grabbed a few items off appetizer menu with a friend. We got the kinkleba tea (highly recommend- tangy) and hibiscus tea, also great. We were stopping in for a quick bite so ordered off the appetizer and sides menu. Everything was wonderful and flavorful. Recommend the bean fritters and cous cous with beans as great and filling sides. This spot will definitely become a more regular spot for me.

This place is amazing! The space is beautiful decorated and the food is great. I ordered the poulet braise with fried yucca and the beef pastel. The beef pastel didn't have a ton of flavor on its own, but it went great with the sauce that it came with. The poulet braise was perfect though, the chicken was juicy and flavorful while the fried yucca was absolutely bangin. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Loved trying a new cuisine and happy to have vegan options and labelling on the menu. Thank you and the food was delicious!

I was the first person in the door on a Saturday afternoon for what will not be my last visit to Les Delices de Awa. ATMOSPHERE More and more, restaurants need to create a distinctive in-person dining experience to justify the costs they must charge to cover increasing food prices. Awa has created a welcoming environment that, after the tables fill up, is full of delicious aromas, laughter, and upbeat music -- although it can be a bit loud. The custom art was a great investment. The layout, with the open kitchen and casual seating, adds to relaxed atmosphere. I'd recommend approaching your visit as a time to seize that opportunity to relax. Don't be in a rush. SERVICE Minor hiccup at the outset -- the men's bathroom had no soap. There was hand sanitizer at the counter, but please do have soap available in a context where eating with one’s hands is common. They took care of the matter quickly when I mentioned it. There was one person on staff, which eventually increased to three. After they reached three staff members, customers were served water (I was about ready to ask for it) and service generally grew more attentive. The staff were busy preparing meals in the kitchen for other diners while I was eating, which is where I recognized they needed to be. For that reason, I didn't feel inclined to be too critical about not checking in on how I was doing after I had been served. It took about 30 minutes for my meal to arrive after ordering, appetizers excluded. Initially, I had been denied my request to special order half-sized portions of the akara and bofloto for reasons I accepted, but later, in a blessedly nice gesture, they surprised me with a custom sampler platter! More on this to follow. FOOD First, I appreciated how thoughtfully and tastefully the food was presented. As for the food itself... Akara - Mild flavor, fluffy texture. Maybe a hint of onion. A nice vessel for the tomato-based sauce that accompanies it. Bofloto - Like a gummier donut hole,

We've been meaning to try this place for a while, I'm so glad we stopped in for dinner while my mom was visiting. They have some great vegetarian options and their grilled meat is perfect. The fried yucca with their homemade aoli goes perfect with any meal, the side of salad veggies was very nice, and the fried plantains were the best Ive ever had. Just really homey warm filling food. High quality ingrediantes and a really home-made feel. Highly recommend!
