Great little neighborhood café with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The space is bright, clean, and welcoming, with plenty of seating whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee or a relaxed brunch. The coffee was excellent, and the menu offers a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options. Everything looked fresh and thoughtfully prepared, especially the pastries and seasonal drinks. Service was fast, attentive, and genuinely kind. A perfect spot to start the day, catch up with friends, or get some work done over a great cup of coffee. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great breakfast spot with a beautiful atmosphere. Biscuit is amazing and so is avocado toast (I recommend adding an egg). Plenty of seating compared to the other breakfast places near by, so there’s always a way to get some good breakfast here.

This was my first visit to Ancora and I will definitely be returning. The line that extended outside went quickly and there was plenty of space to dine inside and outside. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and attentive. My food and drink were excellent. Everything that was being served looked delicious. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. I will be returning and recommending this to anyone that is near the capital looking for a unique place to dine or grab a coffee.

I just moved to Madison on May 20th and Today my fiancée took me to Ancora for the first time. I gotta say. This is one of my favorite coffee houses in Madison besides Liv’s Drink Emporium in Sun Prairie. 5 stars. My fiancée got a fruity pebbles Iced latte & Honey Bacon biscuit & I got Chocolate Chip Pancakes and a Fruity Pebbles Latte with Blackberry Syrup.

We stopped by for a morning treat and tried four different donuts, including the Lemon Meringue and the Strawberry Shortcake. While the toppings and fillings were definitely unique and flavorful, the actual donuts were disappointing. The dough felt quite stodgy and dense, giving the impression that they might have been made yesterday rather than fresh this morning. For an artisanal bakery, I was expecting a much lighter, fluffier base to match the high-quality toppings. A bit of a letdown considering how creative the menu is.
